On our last post we forget to link you all up to the 8bitpeoples site that is hosting a new BALUN track that band was challenged to complete in 48 hours.  If you have not heard of 8bitpeoples, check them out.  Remember when you used to play Tetris or Kid Icarus and found the background music in your heads after playing for hours. Hey fools.  It is a great day to post about about Brilliante, how about 2?


Those young lads in Walter Meego have just released their full length debut via Almost Gold Recordings.  The boys even packed it up and moved west to the friendly confines of LA.  They are on tour with the Presets and possibly might hit a town near you.  Check the tour section.  Word.

And if you are into downloading and stuff you can always throw your pennies this way for both the Romantic and Hollywood singles.

Okay, it has been far to long since our last post but that seems to be the way here at this here label.  We blame the winter…BALUN has been having a fantastically busy year with some shows this past spring in both New York and Chicago as well as new music featured on 2 compilations and the great 8bitpeoples site.

MONSTERK7:
MonsterK7 is a spankin’ new French label releasing cassettes of all things (we like that) and their debut release is a compilation titled “Music For Toys.” BALUN contributed a new track “Minumina” and the comp also features some great music from around the world with a focus on the use of toy instruments.

SI NO PUEDO BAILAR:
Si No Puedo Bailar is a Brazilian label with a new compilation featuring the BALUN  track “Snol” alongside other great Latin American indie/electro/pop bands.  Check out info on all artists here.
The compilation will be available through Darla.
