Signing Choir is:
Joey King Vocals, guitar, keys
Signing Choirs debut full length release is a confident, eclectic batch of pop and rock recorded in studios, bedrooms and bathrooms by Joey King. King is a Chicago transplant and Russellville, Arkansas native who is also bassist (and one of three vocalists) for rock revivalists The M’s.
On his debut you might find some of his other bands swagger, but he ventures out on his own in grand fashion. Kings pop experiments fluctuate between fuzzed out anthems and subtle sonic delight. They sputter, stomp, hiss and crunch with fine attention to songwriting and arrangement. King has a smooth voice that somehow is able to transport listeners to a surreal cocktail party where David Bowie, Neil Diamond and Willie Nelson ride in a limousine traveling America’s deep south. So grab a dirty martini and come along for the ride.
